About Us

In 2010, a small group of friends came together to present Thai culture at the Irvine Global Village Festival (IGVF).  The event was located at Bill Barber Park in Irvine, California.  The display at that time consisted of Thai artifacts, musical instruments, Thai pattern fabrics, books, fruit carvings and samples of Thai sweets.  It was well received by many festival attendees.

In the following year, the number of our active group members expanded significantly.  More Thai people from Irvine and many surrounding communities have joined the group to present Thai culture at the Irvine Global Village Festival annually.  Our ambition in presenting many aspects of Thai culture has led the group to name ourselves “Irvine Thai Arts and Culture (ITAC)”.  In 2011 and 2012 the group had collaborated with Thai Association of Southern California (TASC) and in a current year has collaborated with Thai American Chamber of Commerce of California. The group receives a generous support from the Royal Thai Consulate-General, Los Angeles and the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Los Angeles office to bring a sophisticated display of the culture of Thailand to the IGVF.  Our past exhibit was overwhelmingly praised by festival visitors.

Our mission is to present, promote and educate people about the rich culture of Thailand.
